Kalkan

Once a small fishing town with a sheltered harbour (the only one between Fethiye and Kaş), Kalkan is now a charming mixture of traditional and uber modern and chic, making it a popular destination for land-lovers and yachties alike. With its steep, narrow pedestrianized lanes, winding upwards from the harbour through the whitewashed buildings and wooden balconies festooned with flowers, there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to choose from, so it’s a great place to relax, eat, drink, shop or simply explore. The old part of Kalkan is very photogenic, and the views from the top of the town are spectacular, so remember to bring a camera. Kalkan is close to several historic sites, including Tlos, Xanthos, Letoon, Pınara and Patara, which makes Kalkan an essential stopover for archaeological buffs and history lovers.

Kalkan is a charming stop where the blue cruise starts from Fethiye or Gocek and continues through Kas and Kekova.
